Getting there
Given that our wedding date falls on the July 4th holiday weekend, we would recommend that you make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.
We recommend flying into Guadalajara Airport (GDL) which is about a 30-45 minute drive to downtown. If you are traveling from Houston there are many airlines with flights to GDL. We recommend comparing United, Volaris, and Viva Aerobus airlines for nonstop flights. There are also some flights with even more airlines with a layover in Dallas, Denver, or Mexico City.
The ceremony will be held in a Catholic church right next to the reception venue. We will be arranging transportation from your hotel to the wedding ceremony and reception via multiple shuttle options. But, if you choose to take your own transportation, that’s fine too. Uber works very well in Guadalajara and is an affordable and convenient option to get around the city. For those arranging their own transportation, please just arrive and park at the wedding venue, and from there you will be directed how to walk to the church. Parking is also free and there are many spots available at the venue. There are plenty of taxis available at the GDL airport that can take you to your destination. We recommend you take this method of transportation to leave the GDL airport. Please don’t call an Uber, as the Airport Authority places limitations on the use of Ubers and there can be large fines.
